Earlier this month I participated in the Color In Motion 5k in Tacoma and had a great time getting all “colorfied”. Is “colorfied” even a word? Probably not, but it describes how you look after perfectly. You’ll look like you tasted the rainbow! ;)

Looks like I’ll be doing another one next month!  Color Me Rad reached out to me about the upcoming race at Marymoor Park in Redmond on August 10, 2013. I jumped on the opportunity, because it is like 10 minutes from my house and the proceeds go towards Seattle Children’s Hospital. And who would pass up the chance to have a tsunami of color thrown at you? Not me! :)

What is Color Me Rad?

Color Me Rad is the best time you’ll have all year. Plain and simple. It’s like a food fight without food. It’s a race with no glory for the victor and no shame for the loser – only large slops of color plastered all over you and your friends’ smiling faces.

It’ll brighten your day literally and figuratively; it’ll liven up your Facebook page, give you hours of new conversation and fond memories, and you will eventually move on to become the next President of the United States. That’s our personal guarantee.

And let’s be honest, when was the last time you acted like a 12 year old? Unless you are now 13 years old, this was probably a long time ago. If you’re 13, you’re not our target demographic anyway. Don’t you have homework to do?

Where did Color Me Rad come from?

Color Me Rad is loosely based off of the Hindu Festival of Colors, otherwise known as, Holi. Just as you usher in a new year of radness in your life by signing up for Color Me Rad, Hindus usher in a new season, spring. The festive colors used are a sign of winter’s end and springs new beginnings.

Doesn’t that sound like fun?! All you have to do is show up wearing all white and by the end of the run you’ll be looking like the rainbow!

Here is what you need to do. Sign up! Come do it with me if you live in the area, or find the closest location to you. You won’t regret it.

Have you done a Color Run?

What kind of Adventure Runs have you done?

BTW, are you following me on Bloglovin’ yet? You should!

XO, Tara
